I can't believe my baby is 7 months old! I know that she's going to continue to get older but I'm always surprised when another month passes. I didn't really think about what it would be like for her to be seven months old. I haven't weighed her yet so I'm not sure how much she weighs but she just looks so much bigger this month. She sits up all by herself and rarely tumbles over. She can right herself if she wobbles a little. She loves standing up. If I'm sitting next to her, she leans over, grabs onto me and stands up. I'm always so amazed when she does it. It is so cute! The only problem is that she doesn't often sit on the floor with me and play anymore. She keeps using me to stand up instead of playing.
We've moved her to the crib for good now. The transition was actually surprisingly easy. I tried at least 5 times previously to get her to sleep in her crib and she just wasn't having any of it. Sometimes she would only sleep there for half an hour or 2 hours at most and then not go back to sleep and other times I couldn't even put her down in the crib without her screaming without stopping. Suddenly in the last week though, I guess she decided she was ready. We have our own bedtime routine now and she does pretty well. She still wakes up a few times in the middle of the night but she usually can fall back to sleep on her own. Sometimes I have to get up and put her pacifier back in but she I don't feed her anymore. No more nighttime feedings! I'm so proud of her. I know it's taken a long time to get her to sleep through the night and to sleep in her own room but I'm so glad we've made it.
I've been feeding her solids much more regularly now. It was actually rough for a few weeks because she was absolutely refusing to eat. I would make her something, put her in her high chair and sit down with her. I would put some on the spoon to feed her and she would close her mouth tightly and turn her head. She wouldn't even try it! She did it with everything, even things I knew she liked. Finally, I gave her some yogurt and she loved it. She kept lunging at the spoon. Now, I mix her meals with the yogurt and she eats it again. Today she even opened her mouth right when I picked up the spoon. She is just getting so big! Here are some pictures!
