Baseball Season

It's finally baseball season again and I couldn't be more excited! I have always loved baseball and with the Reds looking the way they do this year, I'm super excited. I went to Opening Day with my sister and brother and that was just amazing. We took Colbie to her first game on Sunday. It was a lot warmer than I thought it would be and I wasn't anticipating as much sun as we had. We got her a certificate to commemorate her first game. I hate pink colored sports gear so I refuse to put her in anything pink for games. I found a lot of Reds stuff at secondhand shops for pretty cheap. I'm pretty sure I bought everything they had in sizes that she is either in right now or sizes that she'll grow into throughout the season. We came away with some adorable onesies, a jacket, pants, and even cute little baseball shoes that are already too small. Her Auntie Emily bought her a super cute bow to wear. I went to Hobby Lobby and found a red crochet hat and a red infant baseball cap to put the bow on. It is just so cute!

On Opening Day, I took her to the parade with my mom and sister. She LOVED it. It was really cold so I had her all bundled up with multiple layers (including layered hats!) and a bunch of blankets. We put her in the big girl part of the stroller so she could see better and camped out at 7th & Race to watch the parade. I was afraid that she wouldn't like the loud noises when the fire trucks and drums came through but those were her favorite parts. She was just amazed by them! After the parade my mom and dad took her to her other grandparents for the rest of the day and I went to the game.

On Sunday, Ben and I took her to her first game. We played the Brewers and we ended up winning 12-3. It was awesome. She fell asleep in the 4th inning even though we were sitting right in front of a speaker that was blaring music the whole time. I kept worrying that she was getting hot or sunburned so I for a little bit I took her back in the shade where it was a little windier. Overall it was a success first game even though I got quite a few compliments on my cute son. I guess if she's not in pink people just assume she's a little boy. Oh well, she's adorable either way. Here are some pictures from Opening Day and her first game!
