Colbie Goes to the Pumpkin Patch

We took Colbie to a pumpkin patch on a Saturday in October. I knew that it would be more for our enjoyment than hers, but I still wanted to go. We decided to go to Burger Farms in Newtown because it had a pumpkin patch, hayride, and other fun activities. We also found a coupon for one free admission ($2) in the Reach Magazine. Of course we forgot the coupon so we had to pay for both of us anyway. Luckily, they let Colbie in for free.

We drove out there old school because my parents had borrowed our Garmin for the week while they were in Arizona. We got the directions online. Naturally, they weren't the best directions so we had to turn around once or twice but we eventually got there. Right away we realized that apparently pumpkin festivals are for much older kids. They had a bunch of rides and games and even miniature pony rides.

We walked around for a bit and looked at the animals they had there. We also went through pumpkinland which sounds cooler than it actually was. I really wanted to get a pumpkin or two so we hopped on the hayride and rode it to the pumpkin patch.

We picked out a big pumpkin for the family and then we let Colbie pick out her own pumpkin. It was a tough decision but she finally settled on one that was almost as big as her!

Here is mommy and Colbie on the hayride back. It was such a fun day!
